You will need a Gmail account. It is best to get your Gmail address to match your website address. [email protected]. I don’t recommend GoDaddy for handling email with your domain if you have Top Producer 8i because to sync Gmail, Outlook and 8i to your calendar you’ll need a gmail account.
You probably want to set this up right from the start with a great looking branded email address.
Step One
Sign up for a free gmail account. Just get First&[email protected] if it is available. You will be adding to this account your branded website address later.

Step Two
Once you have a gmail account go to Google Business Apps (NOT the free trial, choose the ALWAYS free version)

Register Your First Name and your Last Name @ your web address like this [email protected]
This will help with consistent professional brand recognition on all marketing materials.
Step Three
If your Domain (Website URL) is with GoDaddy call them up with your account number and ask them to walk you through setting up your Gmail account with your domain. Once Google verifies you own the domain you are ready to sync your calendar with Top Producer 8i. I recommend you simply call 8i tech support. They are happy to walk you through setting up the calendar.
Top Producer 8i sync requires Outlook 2007 and up (if you have 2003 and outlook connector call to see if that will work).
